Junior (Grades 3-4 AMEB) Learning for no more than 4 years 

1 work - solo or with piano accompaniment

Time limit: 4 minutes

Intermediate Section (Grades 5-6 AMEB) Learning for no more than 5 years

1 work - solo or with piano accompaniment

Time limit: 5 minutes

Senior Section (Grades 7-8 AMEB) Up to age 18 (1 SET PIECE PLUS OWN CHOICE)

Set work & own contrasting choice with piano accompaniment.

Weekend Warrior & “Friends” Section/ Chamber Music

Over 18 Years (full-time professional players not eligible, secondary teachers are welcome) 

From 1 to 5 players any combination containing at least one double reed instrument

1 work – solo or with any combination of accompaniment/ensemble

Time limit: 10 minutes

Baroque (Open Age) A baroque work performed on period or modern instrument

1 work – solo or with piano accompaniment

Time limit: 5 minutes
