Learn from one of Queensland’s leading bassoonists in this masterclass for students of all skill levels.
David Mitchell is the Associate Principal Bassoon in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Before joining QSO in 2009, he was Section Principal Bassoon in the Hofer Symphoniker in Germany for five years.
Sharing his passion for training and education, David is currently Lecturer in Bassoon at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and a regular tutor for the Australian Youth Orchestra and Queensland Youth Orchestras. He also runs a program of master classes and community programs for bassoon students of all ages and levels, as well as professional development for music teachers across Queensland.
This is a great opportunity for students to practice performing repertoire for AMEB exams, school assessments, or youth orchestra auditions. This will function more like a lesson than performance, so works-in-progress are totally fine, too!
Register now to participate in this masterclass or to attend as an observer. The workshop will be made available to viewers over Zoom.
