We hope everyone has a relaxing break with loved ones and safely lands into the new year.

2024 promises to be an exciting year for the society with an upcoming conference later in the year, as well as the usual state events so polish up your best reeds ready for a fun-filled 2024.

‍2024 Membership

Memberships are due to be renewed at the end of the year so please check that the renewal notice hasn't gone to spam. To renew login to the website and go to the link My Membership at the top of the site. At the bottom of your profile page, there is a renew membership form.

•  Double Reeds Discovery Day at the University of Qld 21st January 2024

Unleash your passion for double-reed instruments at our immersive Discovery Day!
Tailored for students (AMEB Grade 4+), this event showcases expertise from renowned professionals Nicole Tait (Principal Bassoon, QSO), Dr. Eve Newsome (Oboe Performance and Pedagogy), Huw Jones (Principal Oboe, QSO) and Patrick Nolan (Director of Woodwinds and Brass, UQ).
Enhance your musical potential, refine your skills, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. This is a “Fun Day” to get back into playing, re-establish those chops, play music with friends, and receive the best of guidance.
