Andrew Berrington's Oboe display from from Blow woodwind and Brass at the Sydney Double Reed Competition, 2009.

It is not surprising that events like these generate such excitement and pride in the local double-reed scene. They allow for the recognition and cultivation of young talented players and highlight the already developed talents of those at the forefront of the double-reed world.

Most importantly however, these events provide an opportunity to have fun,
and remember the strong connections and history
that link together all those for whom playing a double-reed instrument is their passion.
