In
December 2000 over one hundred oboists and bassoonists
from all over Australia gather ed in Melbourne for the
first adrs National Conference for double reed players
in the Australasian region. A myriad of activities were
on offer including recitals, masterclasses, ensembles,
technical workshops, competitions and teacher forums.

Inaugural adrs Competitions
There were two competitions for oboe and two for bassoon.
The Intermediate competition for each instrument was
for players up to and including an equivalent standard
of AMEB Grade 7.The Open competition was for advanced
players,
and the finals for each was held as part of the final
concert on Sunday Dec 3rd.Prizes:
