The
adrs was proud to host the largest
event of its kind ever in Australia. Participants enjoyed
concerts, recitals, master classes and workshops, presented
by leading double reed artists and pedagogues from around
the globe. Highlights included the Melbourne Symphony,
the International Fernand-Hugo Fox Bassoon Competition,
and performances of leading International and Australian
players.
This conference was significant not only for the expansion
in interest of double reed practice in the region, but
also as an indication of the advancement and achievement
of the adrs, Australasian music and
double reed performers.
